My neighbor recently underwent lung cancer surgery and thankfully she is back home and on the mend, But the things she used to take for granted are much more challenging for her now. Her being a Texan, I knew of her fondness for Tex-Mex cooking, so I got busy in the kitchen and put together a very tasty Taco Pasta casserole to give her a break from cooking. She was happy to get it, and I was happy to give it to her... paying it forward really felt good.

I surprised my friend by recreating an amazing “Snap Chat Worthy” breakfast dish my sister made for me. She loved the surprise and the dish, so now I look for opportunities to do random acts of kindness for strangers as well as those already in my life.
I made some new four-legged friends while traveling to Belize, so I paid it forward to the Caye Caulker Humane Society.

I was riding my bike on Beeline Highway and came across a well-dressed man walking down the road. He barely spoke English, didn’t seem to know where he was, didn’t have a phone, and was dying of thirst. I gave him some water, got what info I could, and called him an Uber. He offered me 100 bucks, which I declined. It was all very strange. I just hope he is OK.
